Gary Evans is an experienced event photographer, who also runs his own portrait studio.

Gary first became involved with the world of event photography so long ago that the genre didn’t have a name in those days, and that is why his business trades under the name of “Event Photography” as no one else used the phrase back then!!

Many of the events Gary photographs are studio orientated, such as School Proms, University Graduation Balls and corporate parties to name a few.   Often working in conditions that are not ideal, Gary is an expert at making the most of the situation and producing images that are superior to many high street studios.

Qualified with both the MPA and SWPP for his studio portraits, Gary is an active member of the EPS forum where he can be often found offering guidance to those wanting help with their lighting.

Being able to produce results of a high quality in an event environment only comes from practice and experience and it is usually easier to learn and develop these skills in a more relaxed and less pressured environment than at an actual event.
